Dr. Kelly Low
Co-Founder & President
Born and raised in northeast Ohio, Kelly has had a dream for over 30 years to import products from another country to the US. She lived in Brazil for a period 5 years and ever since, appreciates all things cultural. Kelly achieved both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration prior to completing her Ph.D. in Public Administration/Regional Planning. Upon her husband’s retirement in 2018, they relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where they enjoy golf and tennis. Kelly has two entrepreneurial sons and two golden retrievers who love to swim.
Melissa Van Aswegen
Co-Founder & Vice-President
Melissa is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. A longtime successful entrepreneur, Melissa and her husband, former Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion Rupert Van Aswegen, owned a boxing and fitness training center. Melissa is a giving, respectful and hard-working professional who believes in a balanced life. For her, this includes sports, especially ballroom dancing, and travel. Melissa enjoys culture and exploring different countries. Aside from work, she homeschools their two beautiful teenagers. Melissa and her family currently reside in Cape Town, South Africa. She has lived in the United States and plans to relocate to southwest Florida in the near future so that her children’s future will be bright and full of new possibilities.
Sarah Van Wie
Co-Founder & Vice-President
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sarah now enjoys living in Orlando, Florida, with her husband, an Army veteran. Together they enjoy the antics of Lolla, their furry daughter. Sarah has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration. She loves to travel, enjoying experiencing other cultures. Her dream has always been to be a successful businesswoman with the highest ethics, morals and respectability possible.
Each of the owners and their immediate families use Aloe Unique products on a daily basis.
